EUHA Announces New Executive Committee and Council of Honour Members

The EUHA held its General Meeting on 25 September 2024, during which members of the EUHA Executive Committee, Auditing Committee, and Council of Honour were elected. The new leadership is now ready to move forward with their term.

Beate Gromke was re-elected as President, marking her third term. Eva Keil-Becker will continue as Vice President, and Peter Möckel remains both Vice President and Treasurer. Thorsten Knoop from Kiel joins the EUHA Executive Committee for the first time, having been a member of EUHA since 2013 and contributing as a guest on the committee since 2021. His background includes leading tutorials, lectures at conferences, and providing expertise at the ENT Congress in Mannheim. He now operates his own specialist shop. The new Executive Committee will serve for three years.

Wolfgang Luber has stepped down from the EUHA Executive Committee and now chairs the Council of Honour. Luber, who served on the Board since 2006 and contributed to developing various guidelines, remains committed to the organization. Eckhard Scharf from Marburg an der Lahn has been appointed to the Council of Honour, bringing his long-standing commitment to the industry as a member since 1988. The Council of Honour will serve for the next three years.

The Auditing Committee was also re-elected for another two-year term.

EUHA President Beate Gromke expressed gratitude to all members for their trust and extended special thanks to Jürgen Matthies and Reinhard Dageförde for their decades of service on the Executive Board and Council of Honour. Gromke emphasized the value of those volunteering their time and resources to support the EUHA, highlighting that their contributions form the foundation of the association’s work.

The newly elected Executive Board will be present at the 68th International Congress of Hearing Aid Acousticians, which will take place in Hanover from 16 to 18 October 2024.
