COPENHAGEN, DENMARK — GN Store Nord announced last week that it has chosen hearing industry veteran Marcus Desimoni as the new chief financial officer (CFO) of GN Store Nord and GN ReSound, effective February 15, 2016. Desimoni will replace Anders Boyer, who resigned as CFO in December.

According to the company, Desimoni has more than 15 years of financial leadership experience within international finance and capital markets. He comes to GN from the Siemens Group (now Sivantos), where he had worked since 1999 and served as CFO from 2010-2015.

“I am very pleased to see Marcus joining GN. Marcus brings with him extensive CFO experience within the hearing aid industry, experience driving a commercial excellence agenda on a global scale as well as expertise within global capital markets,” said Anders Hedegaard, GN Hearing Group CEO.

Corrine Perritano

Beltone announced today that Corrine Perritano, a successful executive from outside the hearing industry, has been named president of Beltone North America. She joins the company with more than 20 years of experience in the consumer health and wellness space and will manage the company’s U.S. and Canada operations. In her new position, she will report directly to CEO, Anders Hedegaard.

Prior to joining Beltone, Perritano  served as CEO of Total Woman Gym and Spa, one of the largest full-service gym and day spas in California, and previously spent 22 years with Jenny Craig in several leadership roles, including Executive Vice President of North America.

Perritano’s appointment comes just less than 6 months following the abrupt resignation of long-time Beltone President, Todd Murray. Murray’s resignation came in the wake of a financial fraud scandal at Beltone, committed by the former VP of Finance, which took many in the industry by surprise. The fraud resulted in GN having to write off a one-time loss of $22 million dollars in the second quarter of 2015.

“I am very pleased to have Corrine Perritano join our team. With an impressive track record managing sales teams for more than 23 years, and proven success driving substantial growth in retail and franchise models, she brings valuable perspective to Beltone North America. I am confident that she can lead our Beltone team to ambitious growth, and look forward to our collaboration.” –Anders Hedegaard, GN Hearing Group CEO

In a statement from the company, Perritano said she is excited to join Beltone and help it continue to grow. “Together with the North American Beltone Network, we will bring even more advances in hearing health to consumers.  Beltone’s decades of experience, combined with the innovative new technologies seen in our Beltone Legend hearing aids, put the company at the forefront of these exciting changes.”
