HOPKINS, MINNESOTA — Nearly seventy AUDNET Hearing Group Members, partners and supporters, made the trek to Bloomington, Minnesota and the Radisson Blu Mall of America this past June 14 and 15 for AUDNET Hearing Group’s (AHG) first annual “Collaborative Empowerment Expo”.
Building Professional Care Value in Today’s Diverse Marketplace was the theme for the Expo. The kick-off address by AHG’s CEO, Dr. Greg Frazer, was followed by Dr. Aaron Jones, Unitron’s Director of Product Management and Practice Development who spoke on “Giving Patient’s More of What They Expect.”
Keynote speaker David Smriga, M.A., Vice-President Corporate Communications for AHG, spoke on “Corporatization of Hearing Care in America: Revisiting What We Buy and Sell”, and “The OTC Future: How We Got Here and What We Can Do to Thrive in It.” This was followed by invited speakers that included Stacy Long, President of Hear Billing Solutions who spoke on third-party billing solutions, Robert Tysoe who spoke on physician and disease state marketing, and Dr. Steve Parent, who spoke on Special Events marketing.
A highlight of the conference was a presentation by Justin Osmond, Founder and Director of the Olive Osmond Hearing Fund, who is also the younger brother of Donnie and Marie Osmond. Severely hearing impaired since birth, Justin Osmond has dedicated his life to paying it forward to those challenged to receive the hearing help they need. His stirring presentation highlighted not only his own remarkable journey, but the philanthropic work he is coordinating around the world to make a difference in the lives of those with hearing loss.
The conference wrapped up with a Member Think-Tank, where members worked in groups to bring their thoughts, ideas and expectations together to help mold both the future of AHG and the content for future Collaborative Empowerment Expo’s.
AHG says that the group is looking forward to announcing the dates and location for its next Collaborative Empowerment Expo, and continuing to build a powerful educational resources for its members.
