NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK — The American Business Awards honored the Oticon Opn, GN ReSound Linx 3D and Beltone Trust with Gold Stevie Awards. Since 2002, the Stevie Awards recognize the accomplishments and contributions of companies and business people worldwide and are report to receive more than 10,000 entries annually.

According to the announcement, ReSound LiNX 3D and Beltone Trust were recognized specifically for their remote fine-tuning capabilities, which allow hearing aid users to contact their hearing care professionals (HCPs) via the cloud to make adjustments remotely to their hearing instruments without having to visit a clinic.

“We are extremely proud to be recognized for this innovation in tele-audiology, which is proving to be a life-changer for many with hearing loss. This cutting-edge hearing technology platform will continually broaden the services offered by HCPs to their patients, allowing them to strengthen that critical relationship.”

–Kim Lody, President, GN Hearing North America

Oticon’s popular Opn hearing aid was honored for the world’s first live concert broadcast exclusively for Opn wearers. The concert, featuring the rock band Styx, generated national and local media coverage “showing that Opn lets people with hearing loss ‘rock on’.”

“We are proud that the expanded Oticon Opn family continues to gain national and international attention from leading healthcare and technology award programs. These honors are attention-getters with the power to drive interest not only in Opn, but in all hearing solutions, and that awareness motivates consumers to take action that benefits all of us in hearing healthcare.”

–Sheena Oliver, AuD, Oticon VP of Marketing

According to Michael Gallagher, President of the Stevie Awards, “The nominations submitted for The 2018 American Business Awards were outstanding. The competition was intense, and those recognized as Stevie Award winners should be immensely proud of this accomplishment.”
