LIVONIA, MICHIGAN — The International Hearing Society (IHS) and the National Board for Certification in Hearing Instrument Sciences (NBC-HIS) announced the signing of an affiliation agreement that brings together each organization’s complementary expertise under one roof. According to the announcement, each organization will maintain as a separate entity with individual governance and budgetary structures, however, affiliation and co-location will allow for greater collaboration between the two organizations to support hearing aid specialists in their professional journey.
With forthcoming changes in the hearing aid market, new technology and delivery modes, hearing aid specialists are seeking ways to distinguish themselves in this environment. The new collaborative relationship will allow IHS and NBC-HIS to team up to offer superior resources to assist dispensing professionals in the rapidly changing hearing healthcare landscape.
Customers of both organizations will “benefit from new marketing programs and tools already in development to help further their professional goals, plus premier-level service, expert staff, and greater efficiencies across the board”.
