SOMERSET, NEW JERSEY — At a special salute on June 25, Oticon employees recognized Henning Falster, one of the first US employees of Oticon, Inc., for 45 years of dedication and service.

As Director, Meeting & Events, Falster has led, designed and managed knowledge-sharing events across the US and in more than a dozen countries involving tens of thousands of practitioners, audiology students and educators.  His focus on strategic development and execution of professional conferences and events that emphasize high educational content and quality has earned Oticon numerous industry awards.

“Henning’s first assignment for Oticon, Inc. spanned a large portion of the US, calling on hearing care professionals and educating them on the latest product offerings from Oticon. His goal then, as it is today, is to support the success of hearing care professionals and their patients. His commitment to creating events that encourage professional engagement and support our valued hearing care partners in delivering quality hearing healthcare has been invaluable.”

Falster joined Oticon in 1974 as a Field Sales Engineer and has held positions in sales management, product management, customer support and marketing. After accepting a management position at Oticon US headquarters, he applied his customer experience to product management and customer support, including Customer Service, Data Processing, Tele-marketing and Audiology Support. Later, he transitioned to Marketing where he was responsible for new product launches and support programs for hearing care providers.

During his tenure with Oticon, Falster has also served on a number of industry and association committees.

A strong industry advocate who has influenced positive changes at the national audiology conventions, he was instrumental in establishing the Oticon-sponsored Marion Downs Pediatric Lecture Series held each year at the American Academy of Audiology Conference. In 2019, the Marion Downs Pediatric Lecture Series celebrated its 15th year.

“Henning has been a tremendous asset to Oticon,” said Rosenblum. “We are thrilled to celebrate his 45th year at Oticon and thank him for his role in enabling Oticon to deliver a gold standard of professional development to our valued partners.”

  1. I first met Henning in the 1980s when I was a sales rep for Danovox. He is the most professional, knowledge and all round one of the best people I have ever met in this profession. Well done Henning. Bill Vass
