The European Union of Hearing Aid Acousticians (EUHA) and BVHI have announced the postponement of the 65th International Congress of Hearing Aid Acousticians and 2020 Trade Exhibition. The event was previously scheduled for October 7-9, 2020, but will now take place some time in 2021.
The group notified attendees this week and posted a letter on its website, which can be read below:

Dear delegates, dear exhibitors, dear lecturers of the 65th International Congress of Hearing Aid Acousticians,
In our previous information, we let you know that the EUHA and BVHI were prepared to adhere to their timeline for the conference and trade exhibition scheduled to be held from 7 to 9 October this year. For us as responsible healthcare associations of hearing aid manufacturers and hearing aid acousticians, the health and safety of people with impaired hearing, customers, and staff members have top priority. For us as the organisers of the largest hearing healthcare event, this also holds true for the health of our exhibitors, lecturers, and delegates from all over the world.
According to expert opinion, large conventions continue to be associated with considerable health risks that can be avoided. At this time of continuing uncertainty and in light of prevailing travel restrictions, whose end is difficult to anticipate, early planning for participation in the Congress, be it as an exhibitor, lecturer, or as a delegate travelling to Germany from worldwide destinations, is made more complicated, if not impossible.
EUHA and BVHI have therefore agreed to postpone the 65th International Congress of Hearing Aid Acousticians and the trade exhibition to 2021. We will soon provide details on time and place.
As is the case for other economic sectors, our industry is adversely affected by the coronavirus pandemic. However, it is with hope and optimism that we look forward to a promising future.
