SOMERSET, NEW JERSEY — Obtaining experiences with different types of settings within the profession of audiology is a valuable part of the educational journey for audiology graduate students.
To help students find the setting that best matches their professional goals, the Oticon Student Network will present “Wanna be an audiologist”, the newest in a series of online lectures designed to supplement and complement students’ university education.
New Student Lecture Series
The three-day summer program features interactive and informative virtual sessions that allow students to gain insights into different settings within audiology and network with individuals and partners within the industry. The online series is free and open to all students.

The first 150 students to register will receive a special gift. Each lecture runs approximately two hours. Virtual breakout rooms will be available following the main presentation for networking with presenters and various industry partners. Content in PDF format can be downloaded following each lecture.
- Day one: Wannabe an audiologist…at a manufacturer? (Monday, July 26 12:00 pm – 2:00 PM ET) Meet audiologists working in different areas at a manufacturer.
- Day two: Wannabe an audiologist…in a clinical setting? ( Tuesday, July 27, 12:00pm – 2:00pm ET) Explore settings from academia to ENT/hospital‑based clinics. Pediatrics, educational audiology, government services and retail audiology will also be covered.
- Day three: Wannabe an audiologist…in private practice? (Wednesday, July 28, 12:00pm – 2:00pm ET) Meet two private practice owners as they discuss their journeys to private practice ownership, along with their approaches to recruiting and retaining patients.
