Audigy Summit brings learning and laughter to downtown Nashville

VANCOUVER, WASHINGTON — More than 600 professionals representing hearing care practices, ENT practices, and health systems across the U.S. and Canada gathered August 10–13 in Nashville for Audigy Summit 2022: Elevate.

The flagship event explored the future of patient-centered care through workshops, sessions, keynote speakers, and roundtable discussions.

The Summit was developed to target every role in a practice, including front-and back-office staff, audiologists, physicians, practice administrators, directors of audiology, directors of operations, and practice owners.

“The health care space changes all the time, so today’s practice owners and their teams need to be nimble, adaptive, and innovative. Summit provides the knowledge, tools, and inspiration to keep employees engaged, patients loyal, and practices on sure footing amid industry disruptions.”

–Kim Gilmore, Audigy President

This was the first in-person Summit event in four years — recent Summits were held virtually because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The roster of speakers included leadership and service authority Dr. Bryan K. Williams, improvisor and author Judi Holler, employee-retention expert and musician Clint Pulver, and storyteller and leadership coach Jon Acuff.

This year’s Summit offered more than 30 courses across every dimension of practice management, with many of the courses CEU-eligible. Session titles included “The Power of Persuasion,” “Drawing Up a Winning Strategy for OTC,” “Nothing Left to Give: Combating Employee Burnout,” and “Check Yourself Before You Wreck Yourself: Leveraging Patient Data.”

During the event, Audigy also announced a new strategic partnership with Dr. Cliff Olson’s Hearing Up network. The partnership “will deliver an industry-first certification and website dedicated to both the patient journey and clinical best practices.” In addition, this year’s Summit held workshop sessions with Audigy manufacturing partners ReSound, Starkey, Signia, Widex, and Oticon plus an industry panel featuring Scott Davis, president of GN ReSound North America; Mike O’Neil, president of Signia; Gary Rosenblum, president of Oticon; Søren Nielsen, president of Widex USA; and Brandon Sawalich, president and CEO of Starkey.

“Our member practices showed grit, determination, and innovation building momentum in 2020 and 2021,” said Audigy CEO Mason Walker. “We’re dedicated to and excited about helping them use that momentum to elevate their teams, their practices, and their patients in 2022 and beyond. We’re honored that they trust our Summit event as the place they can go to elevate their future.”
