Earlier this month, iHEAR Medical announced its plans to launch over-the-counter (OTC) hearing solutions in major drugstore chains and independent pharmacies across the United States. According to the announcement, iHear will launch TReO, its first “prescription quality” hearing amplifier for OTC market, and the iHearTest home hearing screener, in 500 pharmacies in June 2018.

After the initial launch of the TReO and iHearTest screener, the company says it plans to expand the launch to offer the devices for sale in over 1,300 stores by the end of 2018.

The TReO is said to retail for $299. The company’s iHearTest home hearing screener will retail for $69 and is eligible for Flexible Spending Account (FSA) reimbursement.
