I have attempted to make this a daily question for myself the last several years and once a year I write about it. I am thankful that I have a staff now that wants to grow the office instead of wanting things to never change. It has been a challenge for me finding the right people who can grow with the challenges, and I am happy to say we are there. I am thankful for connecting with people who find change as an outlet of growth and are not threatened by it.
I am thankful that my staff has interests outside the office. It is such a joy to watch other people’s children grow. Having outside interests finally created a foothold and has become a sanctuary for those who have suffered from Domestic Violence, allowing them find a community and establishing their beautiful spot in this world. We have had to make some interesting scheduling for all of this to happen, but we are all are more well-rounded people due to these things.
I am thankful I have a husband and children who roll with the punches and when their Mom has to do something at odd hours they are helpful. Now that I am working more on my business instead of for my business, I can be more flexible with my schedule and make time to go to children’s games, plays, and some school functions.
I am thankful that I have learned to practice finding the good in situations and in people. I am not always 100% spot on, but I am better than before and I learn so much more than when I am looking for the negative.
Thank you for those of you who read my posts and look for all of HHTM posts that I line up on Social Networking. We have grown since we went out on our own for over 3.5 years ago and I am just giddy that I get to ride this train.
Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!
