 Stylish,  Cute, Functional

The stylish headset shown in the feature image allows wearers to adjust pressure change to reduce barotrauma, or let the headset do it automatically  (#10659865).

Figure 1. Sennheiser patent #10643597, Method and device for generating and providing an audio signal for enhancing a hearing impression at live events

At first glance, the cute cartoon in Fig 1 seems to depict days of yore when people flocked to concerts without Covid-19 worries. In one embodiment, patent #10643597 is designed for just that, “…enabling two viewers (labeled 30a&b) who are at a rock concert near loudspeakers to talk and hear each other.”

Other embodiments enlarge on the patent’s vision of creating  audio for individual listeners  without affecting listening wishes of others in concert-type environments. Moreover, the patent describes remote mixing and remote listening for situations in which we find ourselves nowadays:  different artists in a joint performance need not be on the same stage but may be interconnected electronically via the service network to provide audio and video to remote audiences.
