Next operating system for Apple devices said to be more hearing aid compatible

CUPERTINO, CA–Apple’s latest operating system for its mobile devices will come with a hearing aid mode designed to improve compatibility between hearing aids and iOS devices such as iPhones, iPads, and iPods, according to MacRumors, an online publication. Version 6 of the iOS 5 beta will also feature a speech-recognition feature, MacRumors says.

The updated iOS is expected to launch on August 18,

The first version of iOS 5.0 debuted at Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference in June. It featured an overhaul of the notifications system, alongside a new messaging platform, iMessage, that lets users text and chat with each other free of charge.
