SOMERSET, NEW JERSEY — Gary Rosenblum has been named the new President of Oticon, Inc., effective today. He succeeds Peer Lauritsen, who retired following more than 40 years of service to the company.
Rosenblum, while an outsider to the hearing aid industry, joins the company with an extensive background in consumer-driven medical devices. He most recently served as Vice President, Enterprise Customers for Johnson & Johnson, where he managed the company’s portfolio of Medical Devices, Pharmaceuticals and Consumer Products for hospital systems across the West Coast.
Prior to his most recent role at Johnson & Johnson, Rosenblum led channel development organization for the company’s Diabetes Care franchise to customers across multiple channels. In addition, he brings experience in brand strategy from his past marketing roles for Abbott Labs and Pfizer Consumer Healthcare.

According to the company’s news release, Rosenblum holds an MBA in Marketing & Business Strategy from Cornell University and his undergraduate degree from Washington University in St. Louis.
