Phonak has announced the 7th European Pediatric Conference, to be held in Berlin, Germany from May 11-13, 2023. The conference will focus on how to optimize outcomes and success for children with hearing loss through early treatment and care. The event is expected to build on the success of previous conferences, with a program curated by Andrea Bohnert and Dr. Thomas Wiesner, featuring presentations from internationally acclaimed experts. Participants will have the option of attending in-person with simultaneous translation to German or English or virtually, ensuring a comprehensive experience for all.
The conference’s main theme is particularly relevant, given that early diagnosis and intervention are critical for improving outcomes for children with hearing loss. The presentations will include topics such as managing progressive hearing loss in children, the impact of auditory experience on brain dynamics, and behavioral assessments for hearing in children with developmental differences. The program also includes keynote addresses from experts on speech and language development, parental peer work, and new approaches to improving the electrode-nerve interface of cochlear implants.
The conference offers an exciting opportunity for experts and practitioners in pediatric diagnostics and hearing care to learn about the latest research and clinical experiences. By bringing together internationally acclaimed experts in the field, Phonak aims to create a platform for knowledge sharing, collaboration, and innovation to improve outcomes for children with hearing loss.
The conference will also be available online for those who cannot travel to Berlin, making the content accessible to a wider audience.
