EDEN PRAIRIE, MINNESOTA – Starkey conducted a Starkey Cares Hearing Smiles Outreach event in Nairobi, Kenya, providing hearing health services to more than 150 members of the local community. The global event helped raise awareness of the important role hearing health plays in overall quality of life.
“Starkey is dedicated to increasing hearing healthcare access around the world because hearing connects us to the world around us,” said Owen Olende Starkey’s Vice President of Latin America, Caribbean and Africa Sales.
“Our Starkey Africa team, along with a team from our global headquarters, were in Nairobi, Kenya to help neighbors and families reconnect through the gift of better hearing.”
The Starkey team partnered with Jalaram Medical Services and local volunteers to conduct hearing screenings, provide greatly needed hearing aids, and will provide follow up services to the patients who received new hearing aids.
Starkey’s commitment to philanthropy and support extends via Starkey Cares, aiding individuals globally and within our local communities who lack access to hearing healthcare resources and technology.
Embracing compassion is a fundamental principle at Starkey and is deeply woven into the company’s overarching vision.
