MILAN, ITALY – Amplifon, the world’s leading hearing care retailer, has been included in the list of Europe’s Climate Leaders 2024, compiled by Statista and published by the international newspaper the Financial Times. Amplifon is the only company in the hearing care sector and the only Italian company in the Healthcare & Medical Technology category to be included in the ranking.
Europe’s Climate Leaders include companies on the continent that have achieved the greatest reduction in their Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions relative to their turnover over the last five years, and that provide evidence of their Scope 3 indirect emissions. Collaboration with non-governmental organisations (NGOs), a Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) rating and participation in the Science Based Targets (SBTi) initiative are also essential for recognition.
The inclusion in the Climate Leaders ranking is in addition to other similar recognitions that Amplifon has received in the first months of 2024, from obtaining a ‘Score B’ in the CDP (Carbon Disclosure Project) Climate Change 2023 questionnaire, to being included in the List of the Most Climate-Conscious Italian Companies for 2024.
Amplifon is present in 26 countries worldwide, with around 9,700 points of sale stores and more than 20,000 employees of over 100 different nationalities. In 2023, the company generated revenues of over €2.2 billion.
