The Academy is encouraging submissions that introduce new technologies, challenge established approaches, and provide practical takeaways that can be applied in clinical practice.

The Program Committee is also encouraging presenters to build greater audience interaction into their sessions rather than relying exclusively on lecture-based presentations. Suggested approaches include live polling, small-group problem solving, audience discussion, and other interactive elements designed to keep attendees engaged throughout a session.

Suggested subject areas for AAA 2027 include advancements and the future of audiology, interprofessional collaboration, evidence-based clinical practice, career development and leadership, private-practice management, technology and its impact on audiology, global audiology, educational audiology and precepting, humanitarian care, and strategies for optimizing patient care.

The Academy is also seeking content focused on specific areas of clinical practice, including pediatrics, tinnitus, implantable devices, and vestibular care. All submitted abstracts will undergo a blind peer-review process, with acceptance based on the content of the submission, available space, and overall balance of the convention program.
