HANOVER, GERMANY — The international hearing care industry will gather in Hanover next month for the 70th International Congress of Hearing Aid Acousticians and its accompanying Industry Exhibition. The three-day event is scheduled for October 14–16, 2026, at Deutsche Messe Hannover.

Organizers expect the anniversary event to bring together hearing care professionals, researchers, manufacturers, educators, students, and other industry participants from around the world. This year’s program includes 29 expert lectures, five tutorials, 25 presentations in the EUHA Live Area, and more than 140 international exhibitors.

The congress will also incorporate 33 contributions from the International Conference on Hyperacusis and Misophonia, known as ICHM8. This marks the first time the conference has been integrated into the EUHA Congress, with sessions intended to connect audiological, psychological, and neuroscientific research on sound sensitivity.

Congress Program and Opening Keynote

The Congress and Industry Exhibition will officially open at 9:15 a.m. on Wednesday, October 14, in the EUHA Live Area in Hall 6.

At 11:30 a.m., author Dr. Peter Kreuz will open the scientific program with a presentation titled “Rebel Mind: Hear the Future. Shape Change.” The keynote will be held in Room 3A of the Convention Center and will also be available to visitors holding exhibition-only tickets.

The broader scientific program will address topics across hearing aid technology, audiology, clinical practice, research, artificial intelligence, and the delivery of hearing care. Five practice-oriented tutorials will provide opportunities to explore selected subjects in greater depth.

EUHA Live Area and AI Day

The EUHA Live Area in Hall 6 will serve as a central meeting and networking space connecting the scientific congress with the Industry Exhibition. Its program will include short presentations, international start-up showcases, and information from universities and higher education institutions offering audiology-related degree programs.

On Friday, October 16, the Live Area and other parts of the congress will focus on practical applications of artificial intelligence. Presented under the theme “AI that pays off tomorrow,” AI Day will examine how hearing care practices can use artificial intelligence to automate routine tasks, support communication and marketing, organize internal knowledge, and reduce administrative workloads.

The AI-focused program will include lectures, workshops, live sessions, and presentations designed for attendees with varying levels of technical experience.

Industry Exhibition and International Participation

More than 140 exhibitors are expected to present hearing technologies, diagnostic equipment, fitting systems, software, services, and other products for hearing care professionals. The Industry Exhibition will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Wednesday and Thursday and from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday.

The Netherlands will serve as the 2026 congress partner country. Dutch participation will be represented through expert presentations, discussions in the EUHA Live Area, and other activities held throughout the event.

The Congress Get-together will take place Thursday, October 15, beginning at 7 p.m. at EXPO CORNER near the exhibition grounds. This year’s theme, “Orange is the New Sound,” recognizes the Netherlands as the partner country.

Programming for Students and Apprentices

EUHA 2026 will also include programming for apprentices and students. Guided exhibition tours are scheduled for Thursday at 2:30 p.m. and Friday at 11 a.m., departing from the EUHA Live Area.

Universities and higher education institutions will maintain information stands in the Live Area, providing attendees with information about audiology education and professional training opportunities.

The free EUHA app will provide access to the congress program, speaker information, exhibitor and hall plans, personal scheduling tools, reminders, attendee profiles, chat, and matchmaking features.
