FARMINGTON HILLS, MICHIGAN — The International Hearing Society (IHS) announced that U.S. News & World Report has again ranked Hearing Aid Specialist among its best jobs for 2026, according to rankings published in the outlet’s January 12 edition. The rankings are based on data from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, along with U.S. News & World Report’s internal analysis.
In the 2026 rankings, the Hearing Aid Specialist profession improved its position across all evaluated categories, including a 24-point rise on the publication’s 100 Best Jobs list, placing it within the top 50 overall. The analysis examined occupations with the largest number and percentage of projected job openings from 2023 to 2033, as reported by the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics.

Hearing Aid Specialists are licensed professionals trained to conduct hearing evaluations, identify common types of hearing loss, screen for conditions that require physician referral, and provide hearing solutions, including hearing aids and related interventions.
