PALM BEACH GARDENS, FLORIDA — HearUSA announced that applications are now open for the 2026 Jill Botkin Hearing Health-Care Accessibility Scholarship, an annual award supporting audiology students focused on expanding access to hearing care in underserved communities. Applications will be accepted through April 30, 2026.
Established in 2024 in memory of Jill Botkin, a longtime HearUSA leader who passed away in 2023, the scholarship recognizes students committed to improving access to hearing healthcare, particularly in geographically underserved areas. One full-time Doctor of Audiology (AuD) student enrolled at a U.S. university will be selected. Eligible applicants must have completed their first year of an AuD program and submit a résumé, personal statement, and supporting materials aligned with the program’s evaluation criteria.

This scholarship honors Jill’s legacy by recognizing students who are actively working to close those gaps.”

Botkin began her career with HearUSA as an audiologist in South Florida and later held multiple leadership roles, including Sales Trainer, Regional Manager, Division Manager, Vice President of Operations, and Senior Advisor. She was recognized for her leadership and advocacy for hearing center teams and patient care.
After the application period closes, submissions will be reviewed by the scholarship task force. Applicants will be notified by August 15, 2026, and the selected recipient will receive a $5,000 scholarship to support their AuD education.
