GAINESVILLE, FLORIDA — Neurotone AI has launched a new Partner Certification program for hearing care practices and individual providers using its Lace Pro auditory rehabilitation and Tinnitus Pro tinnitus care platforms.

The program establishes separate certification pathways for practices and individual clinicians, with the goal of building provider knowledge in aural rehabilitation and tinnitus care while giving participating practices a way to demonstrate their experience with the two platforms.

For practices, Neurotone has established three levels of Lace Pro Partner Certification as well as a separate Tinnitus Pro Partner Certification. The different Lace Pro levels reflect increasing levels of provider participation and use of the program in clinical practice.

Individual hearing care professionals can separately earn Lace Pro Provider and Tinnitus Pro Provider certifications. Certification includes completion of a 50-question multiple-choice assessment covering the respective program and its clinical use.

Continuing Education Available for Providers

The individual certification programs also provide an opportunity for hearing care professionals to earn continuing education credit.

Neurotone AI is an approved continuing education provider through both the American Academy of Audiology (AAA) and International Hearing Society (IHS). The Lace Pro Partner Certification program is approved for up to 0.3 AAA CEUs or 3 IHS continuing education credits, while the Tinnitus Pro Partner Certification program is approved for up to 0.2 AAA CEUs or 2 IHS credits.

Certified providers receive a digital certification badge and printable certificate, along with materials that can be used to identify their certification within the practice and through digital channels.

Practice-Level Certification

At the practice level, certification is tied to participation by clinicians within the organization, with higher Lace Pro certification levels reflecting greater engagement with the auditory rehabilitation platform. Neurotone has also created a separate certification pathway for practices offering Tinnitus Pro.

Certified practices can receive digital certification badges, printable certificates and recognition through Neurotone’s online clinic locator. Additional benefits vary by certification level and can include practice materials and opportunities for Neurotone to highlight participating practices.

The company’s clinic locator currently lists nearly 1,500 audiology clinics worldwide and identifies participating locations where patients can access Lace Pro and Tinnitus Pro through hearing care professionals.

Building Provider Knowledge in Aural Rehabilitation

The certification initiative comes as Neurotone continues to expand Lace Pro, the current generation of its longstanding Listening and Communication Enhancement (LACE) auditory training program.

Lace Pro is designed to complement hearing technology by training listening and communication skills rather than providing amplification itself. The program includes exercises targeting areas such as speech understanding in noise, rapid speech and working memory. Neurotone recommends a training schedule of approximately 15 minutes per day for at least 30 days.

The platform is available through mobile devices as well as a web-based version for desktop and laptop computers, allowing patients to complete auditory training outside the clinic while providers incorporate the program into a broader hearing care plan.

Neurotone says Lace has been evaluated across more than 10 clinical studies over its approximately 20-year history. The current Lace Pro platform builds on the original program while adding newer digital tools and features intended for integration into contemporary audiology practices.

Tinnitus Pro Certification

The certification program also extends to Tinnitus Pro, Neurotone’s digital tinnitus care platform. Tinnitus Pro combines several approaches within a single patient-facing program, including personalized sound therapy, cognitive behavioral intervention, guided meditation and tinnitus education.

The platform includes multiple sound-therapy modes and a Therapeutic Tone Finder that allows users to approximate the pitch and characteristics of their tinnitus. Patients can also access educational content, track progress and use guided exercises intended to support coping strategies and tinnitus management.

For hearing care professionals, the new Tinnitus Pro Provider Certification is intended to build familiarity with the platform and its use in patient care. Practices can separately qualify as Tinnitus Pro Certified Partners.

Neurotone’s new certification structure ultimately creates two layers of recognition: credentials for individual hearing care professionals who complete the required education and assessment, and partner certification for practices incorporating Lace Pro or Tinnitus Pro into their services.
