SOMERSET, NEW JERSEY — The Oticon Hearing Foundation is continuing its partnership with the American Academy of Audiology Foundation (AAAF) through a $30,000 contribution aimed at supporting the professional development and humanitarian engagement of future audiologists.
For the 2026–27 academic year, the Foundation will provide $20,000 toward student scholarships and up to $10,000 to support two student humanitarian mission trips to Mexico with Hearing the Call.
“The Oticon Hearing Foundation is honored to continue our partnership with the American Academy of Audiology Foundation. This year, we are excited not only to support students through scholarships, but also to help empower hands-on humanitarian experiences that strengthen clinical skills and deepen compassion for communities in need.”
–Mariann Cadieu, Executive Director of the Oticon Hearing Foundation
“We are grateful for the Oticon Hearing Foundation’s ongoing commitment to audiology students,” said Patrick Gallagher, Executive Director of the American Academy of Audiology. “By supporting both scholarships and humanitarian missions, this partnership helps shape well-rounded professionals who are prepared to lead, serve, and advance the audiology profession.”
Longstanding support for student development
Now in its thirteenth year of supporting the Empowering Students Scholarship Program, the Oticon Hearing Foundation said it remains focused on advancing sustainable improvements in hearing care worldwide. In addition to funding student education, the contribution also supports real-world service opportunities intended to broaden clinical experience and community engagement.
The American Academy of Audiology Foundation raises funds and supports programs in education, research, and public awareness in audiology and hearing science. Through scholarships, grants, and humanitarian opportunities, the Foundation helps students maximize their educational experiences and prepare for careers in hearing healthcare.
