LYNGE, DENMARK — WSA announced that Chief Financial Officer Marianne Wiinholt will step down from her role on August 31, 2026, after four years as CFO and a member of the company’s Executive Committee.

According to the company, Wiinholt made the decision to leave at her own request to pursue a portfolio of board and advisory roles. She will remain in her position through the end of August to support the search for a successor and ensure a smooth transition.

“My time at WSA has been a rewarding period of my career. This is not least because of the dedicated people I have been fortunate to work with. It has not been an easy decision to leave such an important job at such a fantastic company. Now is the ideal time for me to start a new chapter that allows for more time for board and advisory roles. I am proud of the results we have achieved and the team we have built over the past four years.”

Four Years of Financial Leadership

Since joining WSA in 2022, Wiinholt has helped shape the company’s financial strategy and broader business direction. Under her leadership, WSA said its finance and legal organizations were restructured and realigned to support the company’s long-term growth.

“The board regrets that Marianne has decided to step down as CFO at the end of August. However, we respect her decision,” said WSA Chair Lars Rasmussen. “She has driven strong results and created value for WSA, and I am grateful for the solid foundation and team she established. Now, it’s time to find a successor for this important role.”

“Marianne has been a highly valued leader and role model at WSA for the past four years,” said WSA CEO Jan Makela. “She has been a trusted partner to me, the entire leadership team, and everyone who has had the privilege of working with her. We will miss her experience, sharp observations, and personality. We wish her all the best in the future.”

Search for Successor Underway

WSA said it has begun the process of identifying a new chief financial officer and will provide additional information as the search progresses.
