Building on that history, we are introducing Ear Technology’s new headphone sanitizer, AllClean UV-C.
Designed specifically for the hearing care professional, AllClean UV-C allows you to keep one of the most commonly used items in your working environment sanitized. A number of studies have shown that organisms such as pseudomonas, staphylococcus, and strep–not to mention some of the more dangerous viruses–can exist on headphones if they are not sanitized between uses.
Because of this, headphone sanitizing is extremely important for good hygiene and to reduce the spread of disease.
The AllClean UV-C is a straightforward product – a solid metal box that mounts on your sound room wall and houses a large UV-C lamp and pegs specifically designed to hold your headphones for maximum exposure to the sanitizing light. The entire interior is highly reflective, ensuring that every surface of the headphones can be reached. The headphone cable is easily accommodated via a slot in the bottom of the unit so that they do not need to be unplugged.
Just place the headphones in the unit, close the door, and start the sanitizing cycle. Ninety seconds later the headphones are clean and ready for your next patient.
Also available in a portable model that offers a sturdy handle on the top of the case and two feet that rotate out to provide stability when standing on a countertop or desktop, the portable unit is perfect for those who do screenings in schools or nursing homes or similar locations.
