SOMERSET, NEW JERSEY – Sonic has announced the launch of new Radiant™ custom hearing aids. Leveraging more memory and greater processing power, the small, discreet custom hearing aids offer next-level technology to “precisely find, filter and fine-tune the sounds users want to hear”.
Like all Radiant solutions built on the powerful Extend platform, Radiant custom hearing aids feature advanced compression and noise management strategies to improve the user experience with “exceptional sound quality, listening comfort and speech intelligibility, especially in noisy environments”.
Five in-the-ear styles, five technology levels and five colors give hearing care professionals enhanced flexibility to deliver personalized solutions.
“Nothing could be more personal than custom-made hearing aids built for patients’ individual ears in the size, shape, and color they most prefer,” says Carolyn Valentine, Sonic Vice President/General Manager.
“With the new custom additions to our Radiant family, we remain true to our 4S Foundation, focusing on what matters most to our hearing care partners and their patients – sound that’s natural, speech understanding in noise, simplicity and style that stands out.”
Five Styles for Fitting Flexibility
Five popular custom styles (IIC, CIC, ITC, ITE Half-shell, ITE Full-shell) and three speaker levels (75 dB, 90 dB and 100 dB) provide high fitting flexibility to enable hearing care professionals to obtain the perfect fit for patients with slight to severe hearing loss.
An updated assembly allows the new custom styles to be built smaller than previous Sonic custom solutions, including the new IIC that provides “a truly invisible fit for 9 out of 10 users”. The IIC and CIC offer a new 90 dB speaker level option for more power without adding to the size or compromising discreetness.
ITC, ITE Half-shell and ITE Full-shell styles with 2.4 GHz Bluetooth® Low Energy are Made for iPhone® hearing aids, offering hands-free communication for iPhone and iPad® users to make calls more convenient and comfortable.
The Radiant custom styles are also the first Sonic custom models to support direct audio streaming on compatible Android™ devices.*
Five Technology Levels 100 – 20
Radiant custom hearing aids are available in five technology levels for every style:
- 100 – Premium
- 80 – Advanced
- 60 – Mid-level
- 40 – Basic
- 20 – Entry-level
Styles with two microphones offer Radian Directionality, Sonic’s adaptive beamformer to improve the signal-to-noise ratio in challenging listening situations.
Styles with one microphone have a deeper placement in the ear canal to take advantage of the pinna effect to facilitate the natural localization of sound. The three largest styles offer 2.4 GHz Bluetooth connectivity options and compatibility with all Sonic wireless accessories
Five Colors in Every Style
All Radiant custom styles are available in five colors – beige, light brown, medium brown, dark brown, or black – to match hair and skin tones.
In addition, all custom styles are water and dust-resistant with the IP 68 Ingress Protection rating.
Fast, Accurate Fittings
All Radiant hearing aids “offer intuitive and straightforward hardware, software, and wireless solutions for hearing care professionals, with easy and convenient operation for users”.
New EXPRESSfit® Pro fitting software supports all Radiant custom styles and technology levels. The software lets hearing care professionals easily set preferences, connect the instruments, and follow the fitting flow for the best personalized fit, fast.
