To address the global problem of accessibility to assistive devices, Trihear has announced the release of its latest hearing amplifier product: Trihear Convo.
The new device is designed to address the challenges faced by people with hearing loss in noisy environments and at a distance.
Remote Microphone
One of the most notable features of the Trihear Convo is its remote microphone. The remote microphone feature allows users to stream a person’s voice directly into their hearing amplifiers from up to 98ft /30 meters away. This feature is particularly helpful for users who struggle with hearing in crowded places or during social events.
TV Listening
The Remote Microphone can be also used as a TV Streamer. With Trihear Convo, users can connect the remote microphone to their television and stream sound straight to their earphones.
Alternatively, they can place the remote microphone near the TV and enjoy watching TV with their loved ones, without disturbing others.
Auto Pairing
The remote microphone can easily and seamlessly connect to the hearing amplifier. Simply toggle the button of the hearing amplifier, and it will automatically connect to Convo’s remote microphone. The 16ms latency ensures better speech recognition and understanding, making conversations easier and more enjoyable.
Noise Reduction
The Convo boasts up to 16dB reduction in ambient noise, so users can enjoy clearer, more intelligible sound in noisy environments, such as crowded restaurants and busy streets.
Designed for Natural Sound
Trihear Convo with a frequency range from 250 to 6400 Hz is able to amplify sounds across a wide range of frequencies, which includes some of the most critical frequencies for speech.
Separate Volume Control for Each Ear
Another notable feature of the Trihear Convo is the separate ear volume control. It is useful for people with unbalanced hearing loss. This allows users to adjust the volume in each ear independently, making it easier to customize the hearing experience to their individual needs.
Tone Control
Trihear Convo also support 5 levels of tone control according to your preferences for better understanding. This enables people with hearing loss to “find the most suitable compensation curve for them”.
Trihear Convo has a 15dB boost at 5kHz, and 8dB cut at 400Hz for the highest tone position, and has a 2dB cut at 5kHz, 10dB boost at 400Hz for the lowest tone position.
