CHICAGO, ILLINOIS – Beltone has announced that it will introduce the first Auracast™ broadcast audio portable microphone with the new Beltone Multi-Mic+ on August 22, 2024. This new device, designed for use with Beltone Serene™ hearing aids, aims to assist individuals with hearing loss in noisy environments by amplifying the voices of one or multiple speakers while allowing them to hear other sounds in their surroundings.

The Multi-Mic+ is the first portable microphone to feature Auracast, a next-generation assistive listening technology. This device enables users to receive audio streams directly to their Beltone Serene hearing aids with the push of a button, ensuring clear and uninterrupted sound at a preferred volume. In addition to Auracast, the Multi-Mic+ supports Telecoil, FM systems, and direct audio input (DAI), offering versatile connectivity options for a smooth listening experience.

Beltone is also expanding its Serene lineup with the introduction of its smallest wireless In-the-Canal (ITC) hearing aid and a new wireless CROS Behind-the-Ear (BTE) model. The Beltone Serene ITC hearing aid, which uses traditional batteries, provides a discreet and comfortable hearing solution with strong wireless connectivity for streaming audio from smartphones and accessories. The new Beltone Serene CROS BTE hearing aids are rechargeable, offering an additional solution for individuals with single-sided deafness. These new models complement the existing Beltone Serene CROS Receiver-in-Ear (RIE) style.

Both styles are Bluetooth® Low Energy (LE)-enabled, enhancing the listening experience and providing access to Auracast, which expands connectivity possibilities.

“The advanced features of Beltone Serene hearing aids, along with the new Multi-Mic+, aim to empower individuals with hearing loss by improving their ability to connect with their surroundings. This reflects our ongoing commitment to providing quality, comfort, and connectivity to our patients.”

–David Molella, President of Beltone North America
