EDEN PRAIRIE, MINNESOTA — Grason-Stadler, a leader in clinical instrumentation, has announced updates to the GSI Pello™ audiometer. These updates are aligned with those recently implemented on the GSI AudioStar Pro™. The most notable update is the inclusion of the new Audible Contrast Threshold (ACT™) test, available when purchasing new Pello devices with the Speech Plus license.
The ACT test uses a language-independent method to predict a patient’s aided hearing performance in noisy environments. This helps audiologists make recommendations on appropriate hearing aids and settings for challenging hearing situations.
Additional updates to the Pello include an enhanced processor for faster startup and transition times, the addition of the Weber test, improved screen resolution, masking level indicators, and more.
