LONDON, UK – Neuromod Devices, a medical technology company specializing in tinnitus treatment, has announced an expansion of its Lenire® tinnitus treatment device to four additional clinics in the UK. The latest expansion increases access to Lenire for the estimated 9 million people in the UK living with tinnitus.

Lenire will now be available through Harley Street Hearing in London, Alto Hearing and Tinnitus in Kenilworth, Durham Hearing Specialists in Durham, and Aberystwyth Hearing in Aberystwyth. These additions double the number of clinics providing Lenire in the UK, making the device more accessible to patients seeking relief from tinnitus.

Lenire’s Evidence-Based Approach to Tinnitus Treatment

Tinnitus, often described as a persistent ringing or buzzing in the ears, is a neurological condition with no external sound source. Lenire is a bimodal neuromodulation device that has been clinically proven to provide long-lasting relief by combining auditory and tongue stimulation to retrain the brain and reduce the perception of tinnitus.

The device’s efficacy has been demonstrated through multiple large-scale clinical trials, involving over 600 patients. In its most recent study, TENT-A3, Lenire was shown to be more effective than sound-only therapy, a common treatment for tinnitus. The TENT-A2 study, published in Nature – Scientific Reports, further demonstrated that modifying stimulation settings mid-treatment led to greater clinical improvements, with 95% of compliant patients reporting tinnitus improvement and 91% experiencing sustained benefits a year after treatment.

Additionally, an analysis of 220 real-world Lenire patients found that 91.5% experienced a clinically meaningful reduction in tinnitus after 12 weeks of treatment.

Expert Perspectives on Lenire’s Expansion

With the increasing demand for evidence-based tinnitus treatments, UK clinics are integrating Lenire into their services.

“We are delighted to introduce Lenire to our range of tinnitus therapies, offering patients an innovative and evidence-based solution for tinnitus management. At Harley Street Hearing, our commitment is to provide advanced, patient-focused care, and Lenire is a valuable addition to our mission of improving lives through cutting-edge audiology.”

Addressing an Unmet Healthcare Need

The expansion of Lenire’s availability aligns with the growing need for effective tinnitus treatments, a condition recognized as one of the largest unmet needs in healthcare.

“Tinnitus is one of the largest unmet needs in healthcare. Partnerships with leading hearing and tinnitus care clinics in the UK expand the accessibility of Lenire and ensure that the specific needs of tinnitus patients are met,” said Dr. Ross O’Neill, Neuromod Devices Founder and CEO.

Lenire is now available through hearing and tinnitus care clinics across the UK. Patients interested in the treatment can find a nearby provider and book an appointment at www.lenire.com/find-a-clinic.
