EDEN PRAIRIE, MINNESOTA — Starkey has introduced its newest hearing aid platform, Omega AI, which integrates a redesigned processing architecture, advanced directionality, expanded connectivity, and new wellness capabilities. The launch builds on the company’s longstanding efforts to apply artificial intelligence and machine learning to hearing technology.
“When excellence drives every process—innovation, quality, service, and delivery—great things happen. Since being the first to introduce AI technology in hearing aids, Starkey has continued to set the speed of innovation for the industry. We are once again excited to push the boundaries of science and raise the bar of expectation for hearing professionals and their patients. Omega AI is an engineering feat only Starkey could accomplish, and it reflects our unwavering commitment to creating advanced technology that connects people back to their lives.”
–Brandon Sawalich, President and CEO of Starkey
Redesigned Processing Platform and Sound Performance
At the core of Omega AI is a new processor designed to deliver up to four times more memory, three times more computational power, and 2.5 times greater power efficiency than its predecessor. The added processing capability supports DNN 360 Directionality, the first deep-neural-network-powered directionality system in hearing care.

The system automatically adapts to speech from any direction—front, side, or behind—while preserving environmental balance and spatial awareness. Laboratory testing indicates up to an 8 dB improvement in signal-to-noise ratio and 28% higher speech intelligibility in challenging listening environments compared to previous models.
A new Automatic Mode Transition feature ensures seamless shifts between acoustic scenes, helping users stay oriented even in dynamic noise conditions.
The Omega AI family maintains endurance comparable to prior Starkey platforms, offering up to 51 hours of battery life on a single charge. Its RIC R model features a waterproof coating rated to last 10 times longer, and a newly engineered custom shell resin provides 20 times greater impact resistance for long-term reliability.
Smarter Connectivity and Support Tools
Omega AI expands Starkey’s connectivity ecosystem with improvements aimed at both users and clinicians. New Auto-start TV Streaming allows hearing aids to resume streaming instantly when powered on or when the user returns within range of the StarLink Edge TV Streamer.
A generative AI–powered TeleHear AI feature can identify and help resolve common issues with up to 93% predictive accuracy, providing users with faster, more accurate troubleshooting.

Integration with the My Starkey App has also been refined for smoother remote adjustments and monitoring.
For professionals, Starkey’s updated ProFit 2025.1 fitting software introduces Session Notes, Acoustic Model Optimization 2.0, and a REM Target Match simulator—tools designed to simplify workflow and enhance verification accuracy. A new Speech Intelligibility Index (SII) calculator provides a clearer view of performance outcomes during fitting sessions.
Expanded Health and Wellness Capabilities
Continuing the company’s “healthable” technology initiative, Omega AI incorporates new features designed to support users’ overall wellbeing. The Balance Builder program offers interactive balance and coordination exercises accessible through the My Starkey App, while a Respiratory Rate Monitor automatically tracks resting breaths per minute without additional sensors or impact on battery life.
Together with Starkey’s existing step count, social engagement, and heart rate tracking tools, these updates expand the role of hearing aids as multipurpose health devices.
“Omega AI reflects the heart of who we are as a company. With unmatched technology, dedicated partners, and an unwavering focus on patients, we’re demonstrating how innovation and precision can redefine what better hearing means for people everywhere and give anyone a superhuman advantage.”
