EDEN PRAIRIE, MINNESOTA – Starkey has announced a series of updates to its Edge AI hearing aid platform, including new streaming accessories, expanded LE Audio compatibility, and app enhancements designed to improve the overall user experience for both hearing aid wearers and professionals.
“In everything we do, we must maintain a mindset of excellence,” said Brandon Sawalich, President and CEO of Starkey. “From technology to talent, quality to service, everything must be designed with purpose and fine-tuned to perfection. We are not just building hearing aids, but solutions that empower people, connect communities, and change lives. The status quo has never been good enough for Starkey, and we will continue pushing the edge of what is possible. This is Excellence without Exception—our promise to our customer, patients, and ourselves.”
LE Audio Integration and New Streaming Accessories
The latest generation of Bluetooth technology, LE Audio, is now supported by Starkey’s Edge AI platform. LE Audio offers improved sound fidelity, extended range, and fewer dropouts. It also enables Auracast™, a broadcast audio feature designed to improve accessibility in public spaces. Edge AI is fully LE Audio compatible and Auracast-ready.
To complement this connectivity update, Starkey has introduced two new accessories:
- StarLink Table Microphone – A rechargeable device equipped with eight microphones, designed for group listening environments. It automatically initiates and stops streaming based on power status and resumes streaming after mobile interruptions.
- StarLink Remote Microphone – A compact, rechargeable accessory suited for one-on-one conversations in noisy settings. It provides binaural streaming and functions as a remote control.

Performance Enhancements and New Features
Starkey’s latest wind noise management technology is now reported to be 85% faster and 17% more sensitive than prior models, offering improved sound clarity in windy conditions.
Other updates include:
- Demo User Controls (for professionals) – Allows clinicians to demonstrate user controls during fittings.
- Sociability Monitoring Enhancements – Expands user tracking of social interaction, including conversations, listening, and streaming activity to support greater awareness of social engagement.
App Improvements and Caregiver Tools
The Hear Share app, designed for caregivers, now includes an optional feature for hearing aid users to share their home location with family members, providing additional reassurance.
The My Starkey app has received a usability score of 82.0, placing it in the top 10% of apps for user experience. It remains the only hearing aid app to include a built-in Balance Assessment, which uses onboard hearing aid sensors to evaluate user stability.
Starkey states that it will continue to refine the My Starkey app through ongoing user and clinician feedback.
