STÄFA, SWITZERLAND – Phonak, a global leader in hearing technology, announced that its Virto R Infinio, the company’s smallest and first rechargeable custom in-the-ear (ITE) hearing aid, is now available through the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs contract. Powered by the advanced Infinio technology platform, the device expands Phonak’s Virto product range.

Designed for active, style-conscious users, the Virto R Infinio combines a compact design with sound quality, connectivity, and all-day comfort suitable for modern lifestyles.

“Bringing the Virto R Infinio to our nation’s military service members is more than a product milestone—it’s a continuation of our commitment to service,” said Nicholai Dessypris, President, North America, Hearing Instruments at Sonova Group. “They deserve access to the best in hearing technology, and we’re proud to help them reconnect with the sounds that matter most.”

Experience from Phonak Brand Ambassador Robin Gillon

Phonak brand ambassador Robin Gillon, a professional skier, biker, skateboarder, and pilot, tested the Virto R Infinio for several weeks and shared his impressions.

“These hearing aids fit my lifestyle perfectly. Whether I’m wearing a helmet while skiing or biking, or using my headphones as a pilot, the comfort and custom fit of the Virto R Infinio make all the difference.”

He noted improvements in clarity and comfort: “The tremendous improvement in sound quality and speech understanding has truly transformed my listening experience. I can hear conversations clearly, even in noisy environments.”
