LYNGE, DENMARK – Widex, a part of WS Audiology, has introduced Widex Allure™, its latest hearing aid platform designed to enhance speech clarity while maintaining natural environmental awareness. The platform features the new W1 chip and Precision Hearing Technology, incorporating multiple enhancements for improved performance in various listening environments.

The Widex Allure RIC RD is the first hearing aid on the new platform and the first to be fitted using Widex Compass Cloud, the industry’s first fully cloud-based hearing aid fitting software.

Enhanced Sound Processing for Speech and Noise Management

Widex Allure integrates several updated features, including:

  • Speech Enhancer Pro – designed to improve speech clarity in complex sound environments
  • Enhanced Sound Classifier – adjusting seamlessly to different listening conditions
  • Adaptive Dynamic Feedback Controller – employing adaptive frequency shifting to reduce feedback without affecting sound quality
  • Allure PureSound and Dedicated Streaming Compressor – optimizing audio clarity for wearers

Together, these features aim to provide a clearer, more natural sound experience, allowing for seamless adaptation between different sound environments and improved speech intelligibility in noise.

“We are very proud to introduce Widex Allure, which represents a transformative change and a clear difference in hearing technology performance. Allure delivers crystal clear speech while allowing wearers to be fully immersed in the sound of their environment, providing a natural hearing experience.”

–Adina Bahcevanii

Widex Allure’s new Adaptive Dynamic Feedback Controller employs uniquely adaptive frequency shifting that activates only when needed, without compromising sound quality.

Furthermore, Widex Allure builds upon the clinically proven ZeroDelay technology with the new Widex Allure PureSound program. The Allure PureSound processing now delivers significantly enhanced speech intelligibility in noise — an improvement of 4.3 dB SNR — with more advanced processing features than ever before.

“Early studies indicate that most wearers prefer the advanced noise management and feedback control features of Widex Allure,” Bahcevanii said. “In fact, an impressive 92% of users preferred Allure in noisy situations over the previous platform. Clear conversations, seamless soundscape transitions, and immersive hearing experiences – with Widex Allure, the difference is clear.”

First Hearing Aid on Widex Allure Platform with Cloud-Based Fitting Technology

The Widex Allure RIC RD is the first hearing aid introduced on the Widex Allure platform. It includes updated connectivity features, multiple charging options, and an extended battery life. The device is compatible with the Widex Allure App, which provides users with accessibility functions and the ability to customize their hearing experience using real-time artificial intelligence and machine learning.

The Widex Allure RIC RD is also the first hearing aid that can be fitted using Widex Compass Cloud, a cloud-based fitting system designed for remote adjustments and first-fit optimization. The platform allows hearing care professionals (HCPs) to conduct fittings and make real-time adjustments while maintaining secure access to the latest software updates.

“Widex Allure and Widex Compass Cloud represent our commitment to All-in-One Audiology, a suite of technologies and capabilities that offer HCPs and their clients an intuitive and streamlined workflow with a simplified configuration of fitting,” Bahcevanii said.

“With Widex All-in-One Audiology, we are pioneering the future of the industry in ways that allow HCPs to spend more time helping patients and patients more time experiencing better, healthier hearing.”
