HAUPPAUGE, NEW YORK — Widex announced the upcoming U.S. availability of new additions to its Allure™ hearing aid portfolio, including Behind-the-Ear (BTE) and In-the-Ear (ITE) models, as well as a portable charger for the Receiver-in-Canal (RIC) device. The updates, introduced globally in October, will begin rolling out to the U.S. market in December 2025.
The expanded Allure lineup features a new BTE option for a broad range of hearing needs, a custom-fit ITE including the company’s first rechargeable model in this style, and a portable RIC charger designed for travel and all-day use.
Widex reports that these additions are intended to offer hearing care professionals more configuration options within the Allure platform.
Allure Portfolio Additions
- Allure BTE – A slim device designed for mild to profound hearing loss, with amplification range, flexible fittings, telecoil support, and extended battery life.
- Allure ITE – A custom-fit model offering up to 23 hours of use, wireless streaming, and rechargeable functionality depending on configuration.
- Allure RIC Portable Charger – A compact charging unit capable of providing multiple days of power without access to external outlets.

Dana Helmink, Au.D., Sr. Director of Clinical Development at WSA, noted that the updated lineup reflects ongoing development of the Allure platform and offers hearing care professionals expanded fitting options.
“The response from HCPs to both Allure and Compass Cloud has been incredibly validating. They’re seeing firsthand how the platform’s precision and flexibility help them deliver better outcomes with greater ease. And this is just the beginning. We’re committed to driving continuous innovation in Compass Cloud to keep empowering HCPs and their patients for years to come.”
–Dana Helmink, Au.D.
Widex states that the devices operate on its W1 chip and are designed to balance speech clarity with environmental awareness. The company referenced internal studies indicating user preference and acclimatization outcomes.
Compass Cloud Updates
The devices are supported by Widex Compass Cloud™, the company’s cloud-based fitting software. Developed with input from hearing care professionals, the system provides tools such as Widex Fitting Rationale 2.0 and Precision Fitting Tools. By operating in the cloud, Compass Cloud enables Widex to release software updates and refinements on a more frequent schedule, including privacy and security enhancements.
Helmink commented that clinician feedback on Allure and Compass Cloud has informed ongoing updates and emphasized that additional developments are planned.
The new Allure BTE, ITE, and portable RIC charger will be available in the U.S. through authorized hearing care providers beginning December 2025.
