Trihear has announced the launch of the ClearTV Series, a new family of wireless TV streamers designed to help people with hearing loss enjoy television more comfortably through a simpler, app-free listening experience.

For many older adults, television serves as an important connection to news, entertainment, sports, and family activities. However, TV listening accessories can sometimes be difficult to navigate, particularly when they rely on smartphone apps, flashing indicator lights, or complex setup procedures.

According to Trihear, the ClearTV Series was developed with ease of use as a primary design goal. The company says the new platform focuses on straightforward operation through an integrated LCD display and physical controls rather than app-based interfaces.

“At Trihear, we believe hearing technology should help people feel more connected — not more overwhelmed. Many users simply want to sit down, turn on the television, and hear comfortably without struggling through complicated setup or technical frustration. With ClearTV, we focused on making that experience feel calmer, simpler, and more human.”

–Jeff Shi, CEO and Founder of Trihear

The ClearTV Series currently includes two models:

  • ClearTV – A Bluetooth streaming model compatible with select Bluetooth-enabled hearing aids and wireless listening devices, including products from Phonak and Unitron.
  • ClearTV ASHA – An Audio Streaming for Hearing Aids (ASHA)-compatible model designed to stream low-latency stereo TV audio directly to compatible hearing aids. According to Trihear, compatibility includes select hearing aids from Oticon, Signia, Widex, Starkey, ReSound, Jabra, and Philips.

A key feature of both models is an integrated LCD operation display that provides on-screen guidance during setup and operation. Trihear says the approach is intended to reduce reliance on smartphone applications and help users more easily understand device status and controls.

Additional features include a portable cordless design with a built-in rechargeable battery that supports up to 12 hours of operation, optical digital and 3.5 mm audio inputs, and plug-and-play installation for home use.

The company says the goal is to make television listening more accessible and comfortable for individuals who struggle to hear TV audio through traditional speakers alone.

The Trihear ClearTV and ClearTV ASHA are now available through the company’s online store.
