SOMERSET, NEW JERSEY — Oticon has announced that its Reveal hearing aids are now available through the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) contract, expanding access to the company’s latest hearing technology for eligible veterans.
The announcement also highlights additional products in Oticon’s VA portfolio, including CROS RE, Verit, Play SI pediatric hearing aids, and the company’s Zeal in-the-ear hearing aid.
The expanded offerings provide VA audiologists with a broader selection of hearing aid styles, processing technologies, and connectivity features to address different hearing needs and patient preferences.
Oticon Reveal Brings Dual AI Processing to VA Patients
First introduced in August 2026, Oticon Reveal features the company’s Dual AI sound processing system, which uses two dedicated artificial intelligence networks operating simultaneously.
Speech AI is designed to identify and enhance speech, while Context AI manages surrounding environmental sounds to help maintain awareness of the broader listening environment. According to Oticon, this approach is intended to support speech understanding without unnecessarily removing contextual sounds that contribute to everyday listening.
The technology was examined in greater detail during a discussion with Oticon executives Michael Lamberson and Thomas Behrens, which explored the company’s Dual AI architecture, speech and contextual sound processing, fitting considerations, and advances in wireless connectivity.
Reveal also incorporates the company’s Reveal Optimizer feedback management system and 4D Sensor technology, which uses information about conversation activity, head movement, body movement, and the acoustic environment to inform hearing aid processing.
The rechargeable miniRITE devices support Bluetooth LE Audio and Auracast broadcast audio, along with direct connectivity to compatible smartphones. Oticon says its updated wireless platform is designed to improve streaming stability and connection range.
Additional Hearing Aid Options for Veterans
Alongside Reveal, Oticon’s VA contract portfolio includes several hearing aid solutions designed for different audiological needs and preferences.
Oticon CROS RE is intended for individuals with single-sided deafness and is compatible with Reveal and other recent Oticon hearing aid platforms. The rechargeable miniRITE system is available in nine colors.
Oticon Verit provides three zinc-air battery options: miniRITE T, miniBTE T 85, and BTE T 105. The family incorporates second-generation AI-based sound processing and Bluetooth LE Audio connectivity.
Oticon Play SI, the company’s pediatric hearing aid family, is available in rechargeable miniRITE R and miniBTE R styles. The devices feature AI-based sound processing and sensor technology designed to adapt to children’s changing listening environments.
Oticon Zeal offers a compact, rechargeable in-the-ear design incorporating AI-based sound processing, wireless connectivity, and flexible fitting options. The device was introduced in 2025, with its design and underlying technology explored in a discussion with Oticon and Demant executives at the EUHA conference last year.
Zeal also received significant industry recognition in 2026, when it was named Innovator of the Year in the seventh annual Hearing Technology Innovator Awards. The hearing aid received the program’s top overall distinction and won the Hearing Aids – Design category.
Together, these products expand the selection of hearing technologies available to VA hearing care professionals, including options for single-sided deafness, pediatric fittings, rechargeable devices, and conventional battery-powered hearing aids.
Supporting Hearing Care Through the VA
Oticon said its Government Services division will continue providing training and educational resources to VA audiologists and hearing care technicians as the expanded portfolio becomes available.
“Our dedicated Oticon Government Services team is committed to providing innovative, quality hearing technology, like the new Oticon Reveal and Oticon CROS RE, that will empower VA audiologists to improve hearing and quality of life for our nation’s veterans and active-duty military personnel”
–Mike Marcinek, VP and General Manager, Government Services and Pediatrics
The company also noted that its Government Services team conducts educational programs throughout the year to help clinicians become familiar with new technologies and their clinical applications.
With the addition of Reveal and the broader range of available products, VA audiologists have more options for matching hearing technology to individual patients’ audiological needs, listening environments, connectivity requirements, and device preferences.
