Oticon has introduced Verit™, a new premium family of three zinc-air battery hearing aid styles designed for users who prefer disposable batteries while still seeking advanced audiology features and modern connectivity.
The new family includes the miniRITE T, miniBTE T 85, and BTE T 105. Oticon said the devices were developed for users who value the immediate power and familiarity of disposable batteries, while also offering hearing care professionals additional fitting options across a range of listening needs.
Battery-powered option in a premium category
Although rechargeable hearing aids continue to gain market share, Oticon noted that some users still prefer zinc-air battery devices. Verit is positioned as a premium option for that group, combining the company’s BrainHearing™ technologies with updated connectivity features.
According to Oticon, Verit includes MoreSound Intelligence™ 3.0, MoreSound Amplifier™ 3.0, and MoreSound Optimizer™. The company said these features are intended to support speech understanding, listening comfort, and access to surrounding sounds throughout the day.
Always-on AI sound processing
Oticon Verit is built on the company’s Sirius™ platform and incorporates what Oticon describes as always-on, second-generation AI sound processing. The system is designed to automatically adapt to changing listening environments and manage bothersome sounds such as wind, handling noise, and sudden loud inputs.
Oticon said testing showed Verit suppresses unwanted sounds by up to 12 dB in complex listening environments, which the company reported is 2 dB more than Oticon Real™ and 3 dB more than Oticon Opn S™. The company also said the devices delivered significantly higher speech clarity in noise compared with its previous premium zinc-air solutions.
Connectivity updates
Oticon said the Verit family supports both iOS and Android™ devices and includes several connectivity updates aimed at direct streaming and easier pairing.
Made for iPhone: Oticon Verit supports hands-free calls and direct streaming on iPhone®, iPad®, Apple Vision Pro™, and Mac®.
Optimized for Android: The devices support Bluetooth® LE Audio for hands-free calls and direct audio streaming on compatible Android devices and PCs.
Auracast™ support: Oticon said Verit users can access Auracast broadcasts through the Oticon Companion app on both Android and iPhone.
Fast Pair: Google Fast Pair is also supported for one-tap pairing with compatible Bluetooth LE Audio-enabled devices.
