BALLERUP, DENMARK – GN announced additions to its ReSound hearing aid portfolio alongside updates to its fitting software, including new custom in-the-canal styles and enhancements to ReSound Smart Fit.
The updates are intended to broaden device form factor options and provide hearing care professionals with additional fitting tools.
New Custom In-the-Canal Styles and Connectivity
GN is expanding the ReSound Savi essential family beyond receiver-in-ear models with new custom In-The-Canal (ITC) and Completely-In-Canal (CIC) styles designed to sit in the ear canal.
According to the company, the new styles are intended to provide additional form factor options while maintaining sound quality comparable to other devices in the Savi line.
GN also announced a wireless ITC hearing aid in the essentials category that supports Auracast™ broadcast audio, enabling users to connect to compatible public and private audio streams via Bluetooth. The company stated that expanding Auracast support across its portfolios reflects a broader focus on connectivity and accessibility.

Updates to ReSound Smart Fit and Planned NAL-NL3 Integration
GN introduced ReSound Smart Fit 2.3, an updated version of its fitting software. The company said the update includes expanded AutoREM (real-ear measurement) functionality intended to improve alignment between prescribed targets and individual ear acoustics, supporting more efficient clinical workflows.
GN also said it plans to integrate NAL-NL3, the latest prescriptive fitting formula developed by the National Acoustic Laboratories (NAL), into a future release of ReSound Smart Fit 2.3.
Once available, this would make ReSound Smart Fit the first fitting software to support NAL-NL3, according to the company. GN stated that the integration is intended to enable more individualized amplification strategies informed by updated research on loudness perception and speech understanding.
Speech-in-Noise Performance Research
GN reported findings from an independent study conducted by the University of Oldenburg evaluating speech intelligibility in noise across several premium hearing aids, including ReSound Vivia.
According to the company, the study assessed performance in group conversation and selective-attention listening tasks and found that ReSound Vivia hearing aids demonstrated stronger speech-in-noise performance relative to other devices evaluated, particularly in complex listening scenarios involving multiple speakers.
Availability
In addition, GN announced the upcoming availability of ReSound Savi In-the-Canal (ITC) and Completely-in-Canal (CIC) hearing aids, alongside ReSound Smart Fit 2.3 fitting software and corresponding Beltone products, Beltone Commence and Beltone Solus Max 2.3.
The company stated that these products are scheduled to launch initially in the United States, Austria, and Germany on February 19, with additional markets to follow, and that the release will also introduce AllFit domes in 19 sizes and shapes, with NAL-NL3 support planned for a subsequent Smart Fit software update later this spring.
