LYNGE, DENMARK — Signia, a hearing aid brand within WSA, has announced the launch of Active Mini IX, described by the company as the world’s smallest ready-to-wear in-the-ear (ITE) hearing aid with connectivity and the full audiological performance of the Signia Integrated Xperience (IX) platform.
The new device is designed to provide hearing care professionals with a discreet, instant-fit option for patients who may prefer an ITE form factor without waiting for custom molds. According to Signia, Active Mini IX combines the IX platform, wireless connectivity, rechargeability and a compact design intended for same-day fittings.
Active Mini IX uses two microphones to enable the company’s Integrated Xperience platform in a smaller ready-to-wear device. The platform includes RealTime Conversation Enhancement, which is designed to track and enhance multiple speakers in real time as conversations shift.

Designed for Same-Day Fittings
Because the device is ready-to-wear, hearing care professionals can fit Active Mini IX without custom molds. Signia reports that its ergonomic shape is intended to support comfort, with 97% of respondents reporting satisfaction in internal studies.1
The device also includes Signia Assistant, which is designed to help optimize the user experience over time between appointments.
Active Mini IX is built for all-day use, offering up to 21 hours of runtime. The device also includes fast-charging capabilities, which the company says can provide several hours of use after a short charge. Full connectivity supports streaming for calls, music and media across both iPhone and Android devices.
“With Active Mini IX, we’re delivering fully featured audiological performance in the smallest ready-to-wear ITE on the market,” Alves added.
“It reflects our continued focus on expanding the IX platform across form factors – equipping HCPs to bring its speech understanding and conversation performance to more patients, in the designs they want to wear.”
Active Mini IX will be available in all performance levels in Garnet Black, Rose Gold and Pearl White.
The device is compatible with a range of streaming accessories, including TV Sound and StreamLine Mic.
