ISELIN, NEW JERSEY — WSA is highlighting expanded training initiatives, clinical partnerships, and hearing technology advancements at the 2026 Joint Defense Veterans Audiology Conference (JDVAC), currently taking place March 9–11 in Orlando, Florida.
The company’s presence at JDVAC reflects its ongoing collaboration with audiologists serving the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) and Department of Defense (DoD). The annual conference brings together clinicians and industry partners focused on hearing care for veterans and active-duty service members.
Focus on Technology and Clinical Support
WSA is highlighting the Signia Integrated Xperience (IX) platform, designed to provide a range of hearing solutions addressing diverse patient needs, including connectivity, tinnitus management, cosmetic preferences, and compliance requirements such as those needed for sensitive compartmented information facility (SCIF) environments.
The company says the platform is intended to provide flexibility for audiologists managing a wide range of hearing loss profiles, including severe-to-profound hearing loss.

“Our work with the VA, DoD, and the veterans and active duty members they serve, has always been a core part of our mission at Signia,” said Sheena Burks, Chief Clinical Officer at WSA. “Signia IX delivers one complete portfolio, with hearing solutions that meet every patient need. We’re proud to work hand-in-hand with VA and DoD audiologists who provide exceptional care every day. JDVAC is an important opportunity to strengthen those relationships and reaffirm our support throughout the year.”
Training Programs and Educational Sessions
WSA Group CEO Jan Makela is attending the conference to meet directly with VA and DoD audiologists and discuss ongoing collaboration with the government audiology community.
“As a global hearing health company, we stand firmly behind the VA and DoD audiologists who care for veterans and active duty members, and we remain committed to strengthening that support year after year. Veterans and active duty members deserve the very best in hearing care, and our entire global organization is dedicated to ensuring they receive it.”
Signia clinical and technology specialists are also delivering two educational sessions during the conference:
- Breaking Clinical Habits with Eric Branda, AuD, PhD – March 11, 1:00–2:00 pm
- Integrating Audiology Into Whole Health Care Model with Brian Taylor, AuD, and Eric Branda, AuD, PhD – March 11, 3:30–4:40 pm
The sessions are intended to provide practical insights and evidence-based guidance to help audiologists incorporate hearing technology and clinical approaches into everyday patient care.
Signia Experience Tour
WSA also kicked off the Signia Experience Tour on March 7–8 ahead of JDVAC. The tour showcases recent hearing technology developments and provides hands-on demonstrations and training opportunities for VA and DoD audiologists.
According to the company, the program is designed to bring expert-led training directly to clinicians across the country while minimizing time away from patient care.
