BLOOMINGTON, MN–ReSound, one of the largest hearing aid manufacturers in the U.S., has appointed Kimberly Herman as its new president.

Herman brings with her more than 20 years of experience in healthcare industry. However, unlike many presidents of hearing aid companies, she is a newcomer to the hearing industry.

Prior to joining ReSound, Herman held positions as U.S. president of Coloplast Corp.; vice-president at Apria Healthcare; senior vice-president and chief marketing officer at Gentiva Health Services; and executive vice-president and chief operating officer at Senior Homecare, Inc. She also has six years of consulting and interim leadership experience for private equity portfolio clients.

Todd Murray, who is president of the GN Hearing Care Group, North America, of which ReSound is a part, said, “Kim brings with her considerable healthcare experience as well as an intense customer focus. These qualities will help us build an even more customer-oriented organization.”

ReSound’s parent company is the Danish GN ReSound Group, one of the world’s largest providers of hearing instruments and diagnostic audiological instrumentation.
