Kinnerk named president of Comfort Audio

PARK RIDGE, IL–Brian Kinnerk, a former CEO of Unitron U.S. and Siemens Hearing Instruments, Inc., has been appointed president of Comfort Audio, Inc., as the Swedish-based parent company expands its organization in the U.S. Kinnerk succeeds Ragnar Åhgren, who will continue as chairman of the board of directors.

In announcing the hiring, Comfort Audio said that Kinnerk would bring to the company “outstanding expertise as well as many years of experience in the American market.”

Kinnerk has worked in the hearing industry for the past 20 years, holding a variety of leadership positions. Before joining Comfort Audio, he had been president and CEO of Siemens Hearing from 2010 to 2011, one of four people to hold that position in the past five years. He was also president of the Better Hearing Institute from 2007 to 2008.

Comfort Audio develops and manufactures digital wireless microphone systems. Its products are used together with hearing instruments and implants to enhance the speech and sound experience for users.
