Between October 4th and 7th, 2021, audiologists and hearing care professionals gathered at the Confidante Hotel in Miami Beach, Florida, for the third annual AudBoss Private Practice summit.
With an attendance of 350 (in-person and virtual), it was the largest AudBoss summit to date.
Due to their cruise cancellation, the AudBoss team (April Royan and Amit Gosalia) quickly pivoted and moved the summit from the cruise to the Confidante Hotel and pulled together an educational and entertaining conference within 30 days!
The Summit began with mastermind sessions by HearWorks, a happy hour sponsored by Human Interest and Paylocity, and a welcome reception under the stars, sponsored by Starkey. The second day ended with a pig roast by the 1930s House, sponsored by Cognivue.
Finally, the summit culminated Wednesday evening with an 80s themed party, along with a costume contest, sponsored by HearWorks.
Topics from leaders in the profession included expanding your influence, incorporating vestibular in your practices, unbundling, cognitive screenings, best practices post covid, billing/coding hurdles, effective precepting, sanitizing equipment and many other topics to help audiology and hearing care practices. The event was supported by over 30 industry partners who have reported a fantastic ROI from the event.

The AudBoss Private Practice Facebook group started in 2017, founded by Amit Gosalia, AuD and April Royan, MA, filling a void where business owners could discuss the rewards and challenges of ownership.
Now at over 800 members, it is said to be the largest independent private practice organization in the industry. Although the Facebook page is strictly reserved for owners and key decision makers, the summit is open to anyone in hearing healthcare.
