Robert M. TraynorBob Traynor, Editor

Welcome to the international section of the Hearing Health and Technology Matters Blog.  For over 17 years I traveled the world as an audiologist conducting presentations on Audiology and Hearing instruments for a major manufacturer, visiting virtually every continent and over 40 countries.  The work involved training distributors of hearing products and their staff in audiology and product specifics.  As part of the process, I have met many colleagues and worked with them in their practices in many different countries and have found that Audiologists around the world are a diverse group but we all have the same goals and objectives for our patients.

I hope that all of you will share your experiences, technology and unique procedures from around the world in this new blog.  As editor of the Hearing International section I am looking for internationally focused articles on topics that include interesting, debonair, disgusting practices in other countries as well as how audiologists differ in training, expertise and scope of practice from one country to another.  Stories of travel, clinical practice, research, training diversity and other topics from around the world are of particular interest.  Just as soap operas develop a great following, I am hoping to earn your readership in our own audiology focused “As the World Turns”.

Please send your submissions to my attention at Hearing International at traynordr@ gmail.com. Articles and postings are ideally submitted in English and at least 500 words, but not more than 1000 words.
