GN Hearing Announces Resignation of CEO, Anders Hedegaard

BALLERUP, DENMARK — The GN Group announced today the resignation of Anders Hedegaard, CEO of GN Hearing. According to the announcement, Marcus Desimoni will act as interim CEO of GN Hearing, in parallel with his role as CFO of GN Store Nord and GN Hearing, until a new CEO of GN Hearing is appointed.

Desimoni, together with René Svendsen-Tune, the CEO of GN Audio, will constitute GN Store Nord’s Executive Management team.

GN is thankful to Anders for his services during the last four years, in which GN has executed on its ambitious plans to continuously lead its respective industries in terms of innovation and growth

Hedegaard, who has led the organization since 2014, has reportedly accepted a position as CEO at another company outside of Denmark and not in competition with GN’s current businesses. He will be working to ensure a smooth transition for the company.

Financial guidance for investors for 2018 and long term targets remain unchanged.

According to a story published in the Danish business magazine, EuroInvestor, GN’s next CEO may come from Sonova. The story mentions that Henrik Brabrand, Managing Director at the Albright Life Sciences firm, is quoted as saying Sonova’s current head of marketing, Martin Grieder, could be a good candidate to fill the vacant CEO role at GN.

No other names are mentioned as possible successors in the piece, and no other official announcements or updates have been published by GN to date.
