MILAN, ITALYAmplifon has announced its partnership with Next Age, Europe’s first accelerator dedicated to startups in the Silver Economy.

Next Age is part of the CDP Venture Capital National Accelerators Network, which aims to foster the growth of young companies in high-potential markets. Enrico Vita, CEO of Amplifon, emphasized the company’s commitment to innovation and leveraging digital technologies to deliver personalized services and enhance the customer experience.

“Joining Next Age is part of the innovation path we have pursued for some years now with the aim of leveraging on digital technologies and data to offer our customers an increasingly personalized service and develop the best multichannel experience. Partnerships with innovative entities are a key part of this process: in fact, it was from the meeting between an Italian startup, OtoHub, and our digital division that last year we established AmplifonX, our internal startup in which we plan to invest 150 million euros in the 2022-2024 period”

Next Age Accelerator and Supporting Startups in the Silver Economy

Next Age was launched by CDP Venture Capital and the AC75 StartUp Accelerator in collaboration with Fondazione Marche, Fondazione Cariverona, Università Politecnica delle Marche, and venture capital firm SOSV. The accelerator program aims to support the growth of startups in the Silver Economy, a sector dedicated to products and services for the over-50s.

It is projected that the Silver Economy will contribute approximately €5.7 trillion Euros, equivalent to one-third of the European GDP, by 2025.

Next Age, headquartered in Ancona, Italy, is a three-year program that selects around ten seed and pre-seed startups annually. The selected startups receive a structured four-month program, substantial investments, and support from accelerator partners. This comprehensive support aids in validating their business models and driving their growth in the Silver Economy sector.

By collaborating with startups in this field, Amplifon aims to enhance its offerings and expand its global presence as a leading player in the hearing care industry.
