COPENHAGEN, DENMARK — Demant announced that it has obtained all required regulatory approvals for its acquisition of KIND Group, clearing a key milestone toward finalizing the company’s largest retail acquisition to date. The agreement, first announced in June 2025, has now been approved by both the Austrian and German competition authorities.
KIND is one of the world’s major hearing aid retailers, operating approximately 650 hearing care clinics and employing around 3,000 people across Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Luxembourg, and Singapore. The company holds a strong position in the German hearing care market, which remains one of the largest globally.
With regulatory conditions satisfied, Demant reports that the remaining customary closing steps are underway. The transaction is expected to close at the beginning of December 2025, at which time the company will outline the financial effects of bringing KIND into the Demant Group.
