Oticon Introduces Zeal Hearing Aids to the U.S. Market

Oticon announced the U.S. introduction of Oticon Zeal™, a compact, rechargeable hearing aid designed to combine a discreet form factor with modern connectivity and sound processing features.

According to the company, Oticon Zeal establishes a new in-the-ear style category intended to meet user demand for discreet hearing aids while maintaining advanced performance features. Oticon said the device offers personalized audio streaming, rechargeability, and AI-driven sound processing in a compact design.

Innovation from the Inside Out

Oticon Zeal is built on Oticon BrainHearing technology and uses always-on second-generation AI sound processing. The company reports that the AI sound processing technology delivers up to 12 dB noise suppression and AI-driven speech clarity enhancements up to 6 dB.

Compact, Durable Design

Oticon Zeal uses encapsulation technology designed to enclose the hearing aid body and create a compact, resilient structure. Oticon stated that this approach is intended to improve durability while maintaining a space-optimized form factor.

Connectivity and Streaming

Oticon Zeal supports hands-free calls and direct audio streaming on select devices and is designed to integrate with major mobile platforms. Oticon collaborates with Apple and Google to support compatibility and connectivity.

  • Oticon Zeal is enabled for Google’s Fast Pair for Android™ devices, allowing automatic recognition across devices logged into the same Google account.
  • Oticon Zeal includes Auracast™ technology to support broadcast audio in public venues.
  • The Oticon Companion app provides user control and personalization features.

Rechargeability and Battery Performance

oticon zeal chargerThe rechargeable lithium-ion battery provides up to 20 hours of battery life, with a portable SmartCharger offering up to three additional full charges. Oticon reported that 15 minutes of charging provides up to 4 hours of use, and 30 minutes provides up to 8 hours of use.

Oticon stated that Zeal complements its existing portfolio, including Oticon Intent™, and is intended to provide hearing care professionals with additional fitting options.
