Wanted: Educational audiologists for a mission to Vietnam

SEATTLE–Experienced educational audiologists who would like to help children in great need and to have an unforgettable experience in the process may wish to answer a call from the Global Foundation for Children With Hearing Loss.

The mission of the Seattle-based foundation is to make a direct and lasting impact on deaf and hard-of-hearing children around the world by providing them with access to hearing technology, professional support, and the educational resources they need to achieve their potential in hearing society.

In pursuit of that mission, the foundation is seeking educational audiologists to join a summer training program in Vietnam from July 14 to August 8, 2014. One goal of the program is to continue the professional development of audiology technicians who work at the targeted educational sites of the regional audiology centers in
Vietnam. Applicants should have at least 8 to 10 years’ experience working in an academic or pediatric clinical setting.

Candidates should be prepared to commit to at least two weeks to the 2014 summer program. To apply, submit a cover letter and resume to Paige Stringer, founder and executive director, at paige@childrenwithhearingloss.org by January 31, 2014.
